The SA49KOA from Communications and Power Industries (CPI) is a GaN Solid-State Power Amplifier that operates from 27.5 to 31 GHz. It delivers an output power of 80 W with a gain of more than 63 dB. The amplifier utilizes proprietary RF techniques to provide high linear power and efficiency in a small, lightweight, outdoor package. It uses a unique technology that ensures maximum output power regardless of number of carriers. The SSPA requires a DC supply of 48 V and consumes 420 VA of power. It can be mounted directly at the antenna for maximum efficiency of operation.

The SA49KOA includes a full-featured network and serial interfaces to support monitoring and control of the amplifier. It is available in a weatherproof enclosure that measures 336 x 163 x 160 mm with 2.9 mm (female) and N-type (female) input connectors and WR28 waveguide flange at the output. The amplifier is ideal for LEO/MEO/GEO systems, SATCOM on the Move, VSATs, and antenna-mount applications. It meets the Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU to satisfy worldwide requirements and is CE-marked.
