AMP50010

The AMP50010 from Exodus Advanced Communications is a Pulsed Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 9.0 to 11.0 GHz across a customer-specified 1 GHz bandwidth. It is designed for airborne and phased array X-band pulse applications and delivers high dynamic range with high reliability and ruggedness. This Class AB SSPA delivers a peak pulse output power of 1000 W with a power gain of more than 60 dB and a gain flatness of less than 3.0 dB peak-to-peak. It has harmonic levels below -35 dBc and spurious levels of 60 dBc. 

The AMP50010 has multiple built-in protection functions, including load VSWR protection and a shutdown function, resulting in high reliability and ruggedness. It can be controlled via a D-Sub connector with TTL pulse-trigger and shutdown signals, current and temperature monitor outputs. This amplifier requires a 40 V DC supply and draws 17 A of current. It is available in a module measuring 180 × 260 × 50 mm and has an SMA (female) connector at the input port and a WR-90 waveguide interface at the output port.
