The MPA-180400S37-H from Micable is a GaN Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 18 to 40 GHz. It delivers high output power and linearity for various applications, including radar, 5G, and instrumentation, and is based on state-of-the-art GaN technology. This power amplifier can adapt to a variety of signal types such as CW, pulse, wide instantaneous bandwidth, and higher order modulation signals. It delivers a saturated output power of 39 dBm (~7.9 W) with a small-signal gain of 54 dB, and has a gain flatness of ±1 dB.
The MPA-180400S37-H is also equipped with over-current and over-temperature monitoring through analog output ports, thereby ensuring high reliability. It also integrates an air-based cooling function to dissipate heat for improved thermal management. This power amplifier requires a +26 V DC supply and consumes less than 120 W of power. It is available in an Alloy Iridite enclosure measuring 232.0 x 170.0 x 92.5 mm and has 2.92 mm (female) connectors.
