The TWPA from Millimeter Wave Systems is a Josephson Traveling Wave Parametric Amplifier that operates from 1 to 10 GHz. It is designed for cryogenic, low-noise RF applications such as quantum computing and radio astronomy. This parametric amplifier employs inverse-Kerr phase-matching and offers tunability across a wide frequency range, with an instantaneous bandwidth of up to 2.5 GHz. It provides a small-signal gain of 20 dB with a pump power of 65 dBm and achieves a noise temperature of 450 mK.

The TWPA features a low-loss design that enables noise performance approaching the quantum limit. Its gain peaks in a region approximately 2 GHz from the pump frequency, simplifying filtering. The amplifier is available as a compact module.
