TA1165 Image

The TA1165 from Triad RF is a GaN Power Amplifier that operates from 5500 to 8500 MHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 20 W (43 dBm) with a small signal gain of 52.5 dBm. This power amplifier has a Tx switching time of 1 μs and an input return loss of less than -14 dB. It supports any signal type and modulation format, including but not limited to DVB, DVB-DSNG, and DVB-S2.

This class AB GaN power amplifier has a temperature monitor output pin and over/under/reverse voltage protection. It requires a DC supply of 38 V and consumes 4.5 A of current. This amplifier is available as a module that measures 152.4 x 63.5 x 27 mm and has SMA-F RF connectors for input/output. It is ideal for DVB (and variants) data transmission and Low Earth Orbit downlink/interlink amplification applications.
