The 16-Channel DirectRF+ Transceiver from Spectrum Control operates from 100 MHz to 36 GHz. It is a SOSA-aligned module designed to offer multi-mission capability for customer-defined EW, radar, and SIGINT mission profiles. This transceiver is based on a future-proof architecture that consists of Altera’s Agilex 9 FPGA with 16 GB FPGA fabric and 4 GB processor memories, AI-capable DSP blocks, RF clock, internal/external references, and interfaces. This module provides high-speed, direct digital conversion and RF signal conditioning across 8 Tx and 8 Rx channels at a sampling rate of up to 64 GSPS with low latency. It has an instantaneous bandwidth of up to 32 GHz.
The 16-Channel DirectRF+ Transceiver supports coherent pairing across multiple 3U OpenVPX modules with deterministic phase alignment for precise multi-card synchronization in beamforming or phased-array systems. This transceiver also provides health monitoring, power control and diagnostics information as per the VITA 46.11 standard. It also supports front-end linearization or pre-selector upgrades, along with other configuration options via interfaces such as PCIe Gen4 and 10/25 GbE. This digital transceiver is available in a 3U OpenVPX enclosure for plug-and-play compatibility.
