The ICODE SLIX2 from NXP Semiconductors is an NFC Forum Type 5 Tag IC that operates in the 13.56 MHz (HF). It can operate without line-of-sight at a distance of up to 1.5 m and has a data transfer rate of up to 53 kbit/s. This NFC tag IC enables contactless transmission of data and energy. It has an EEPROM of 2560 bits of user memory, organized in 80 blocks of 4 bytes each, with a block reserved for the counter feature. This NFC tag can retain data for 50 years and has a write endurance of 100000 cycles.
The ICODE SLIX2 IC has an intelligent anti-collision function that enables several tags to operate in the field simultaneously. It is 32-bit password protected for read/write access, label destroy, privacy mode and EAS & AFI functionality. This IC is available in a compact plastic package that measures 1.5 x 1 x 0.5 mm. It is ideal for inventory and supply chain management, asset and document tracking, industrial and smart label applications in libraries, item-level tagging in pharmaceutical supply chains, and counterfeit protection for consumer goods, among other uses.
