The B3KO-A from CPI is a GaAs solid-state power amplifier module that operates from 27.5 to 31 GHz in the Ka-band. It provides an output power of 40 Watts and has a small signal gain of 57 dB. The amplifier supports RS232/422/485 Ethernet, 12-10 circular MIL interfaces, and features a 10/50 MHz external reference auto detector and digitally controlled attenuator with SNMP functionality. It requires a supply voltage of 48 VDC with an external AC supply optionality and consumes 420 Watts.

The amplifier has an excellent AM/PM, phase noise, and spectral regrowth performance and meets Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU standards. It is available in a rack-mount package with a 2.92mm N-Type (F) connector at the input, WR28 grooved waveguide at the output, and measures 12.50 x 6.43 x 6.30 Inches. The amplifier is ideal for SATCOM, VSAT, and antenna-mount applications.
