The SiT5234 from SiTime is a MEMS Super-TCXO that operates from 1 to 60 MHz. It is part of SiTime’s Elite 2 Super-TCXO family and is designed to provide accurate synchronization in AI data centers, high-performance compute and networking, and precision GNSS systems. This TCXO leverages SiTime’s unique DualMEMS temperature sensing and TurboCompensation technologies to deliver improved timing accuracy and stability under temperature variations, airflow disturbances, and mechanical stress. It produces LVCMOS or clipped sineewave output waveforms with a frequency stability of ±0.5 ppm to ±2.5 ppm versus an operating temperature range from -40°C to +105°C.Â
The SiT5234 MEMS Super-TCXO has a frequency pulling of ±200 ppm and a frequency pull resolution down to 3.64 ppt. It also eliminates any need for costly screening or burn-in tests and ensures no activity dips or micro-jumps. This TCXO can be controlled via an I2C interface. It has on-chip regulators and eliminates the need for external LDOs, enabling simplified design. This MEMS Super-TCXO requires DC supply voltage levels of 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 3.0 V, and 3.3 V. It is available in either an 8-pin plastic QFN package measuring 3.2 x 2.5 mm or a 10-pin ceramic package measuring 5.0 x 3.2 mm. These packages utilize standard semiconductor packaging and a scalable manufacturing flow for greater precision.
