The ADMV8809 from Analog Devices is a Digitally Tunable MMIC Filter that operates from 0.5 to 9 GHz. It consists of four independently controlled high-pass filters (HPFs) and low-pass filters (LPFs). This filter has a flexible architecture that allows the 3dB cutoff frequency (f3dB) of the high-pass and low-pass filters to be controlled independently. The digital logic control on each filter is 3 bits wide (eight states) and controls the on-chip reactive elements to adjust the f3dB. It has an insertion loss of less than 6.2 dB and a wideband rejection of 40 dB.
The ADMV8809 can be used as a smaller alternative to large switched filter banks and discrete component-based tunable filters. It is available in a compact 52-Terminal LGA package that measures 8 x 8 x 1.07 mm and is ideal for land mobile radios, test and measurement equipment, military radar, electronic warfare, electronic countermeasures, satellite communications, industrial, and medical equipment applications.
