The EX-421 from Microchip Technology is an Evacuated Crystal Oscillator that operates at 10 MHz, 20 MHz, and 100 MHz. It is designed to bridge the gap between large, high-precision OCXOs and smaller TCXOs, offering an economical choice for applications requiring spectral purity and stability while maintaining compactness and low power consumption. This crystal oscillator produces HCMOS and Sinewave output waveforms, and provides an output power from 0 to +9 dBm with a frequency stability of ±30 ppb versus an operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C. 

The EX-421 evacuated crystal oscillator has a g-sensitivity of 1.0 ppb/g and an Allan deviation of 0.02 ppb. It has harmonic levels of up to -30 dBc and a phase noise of -160 dBc/Hz (at 1 kHz offset). This RoHS-compliant crystal oscillator requires a DC supply of 4.75 to 5.25 V and consumes less than 1.5 W of power. It is available in either a miniature SMD package measuring 13.46 x 9.80 mm or a through-hole package measuring 13.46 x 9.40 mm. This oscillator is ideal for mobile data communications, military portable radio, satellite communications, airborne equipment, avionics, instrumentation, marine, and land seismic applications.
