Teledyne LeCroy's Austin Labs group, a leading test and measurement services provider, has been designated as a Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility (BQTF). This, along with their existing Bluetooth Qualification Consultant program, positions the company as a comprehensive solution for Bluetooth device qualification.
To ensure interoperability across various designs and applications, the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) mandates that companies offering Bluetooth technology products or using any of the Bluetooth trademarks become Bluetooth SIG members and complete the Bluetooth Qualification Process. A Bluetooth Qualification Test Facility (BQTF) is recognized by the Bluetooth SIG as competent to execute Bluetooth Qualification Process test cases, specifically those categorized as a "Category A" at or below the Host Controller Interface (HCI) layer. The Bluetooth Qualification process promotes interoperability by requiring members to confirm compliance to specifications through testing and documentation. The combined expertise of Austin Labs and the Bluetooth SIG rigorous standards for testing and qualifying Bluetooth devices, covering Radio Frequency (RF), Host Controller Interface (HCI), and Lower Layer (LL) testing, ensures flawless Bluetooth device functionality within the Bluetooth ecosystem and compliance with the latest Bluetooth specifications.
