Nisshinbo Micro Devices to Showcase Cutting-Edge GaAs and LNA Innovations at IMS 2025

Nisshinbo Micro Devices, a global provider of advanced analog and microwave solutions, is set to spotlight its latest achievements in Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) technology and Low Noise Amplifiers (LNAs) at the International Microwave Symposium (IMS) 2025. Committed to its corporate philosophy of “Change and Challenge,” the company continues to push boundaries in RFIC innovation, building on a GaAs legacy that dates back to 1993 when New Japan Radio first pioneered its development.

Visitors to IMS can explore two key advancements during live sessions at the MicroApps Theater. In Session TUMA17 (Tuesday, 2:15 PM), Nisshinbo will demonstrate a novel linearity compensation technique using a proprietary detection circuit that significantly enhances gain in automotive GNSS LNAs. Later, in Session TUMA20 (Tuesday, 3:00 PM), the company will reveal a process innovation featuring a shorter gate length, achieving a remarkable 10% reduction in noise figure—a major performance leap for LNA technology.

Nisshinbo’s advanced GaAs process enables LNAs with superior linearity and ultra-low noise figures, making them ideal for high-performance RF front-ends. With frequency support from 10 MHz to 6 GHz, these LNAs are tailored for diverse communication systems, including wireless infrastructure, automotive GNSS, and satellite navigation.

Key Products:

NT1191: A wideband GNSS LNA covering 1164–1610 MHz, designed for multi-GNSS receiver systems. It features low NF, excellent gain flatness, robust ESD protection, and minimal external components. Ideal for car navigation, drones, and high-precision GNSS modules.

NJG1187KG1: A highly flexible high-gain GNSS LNA, tuneable for L1 or L2/5/bands via simple external part adjustments. It supports filter integration between amplifier stages without NF degradation and offers excellent temperature and ESD resilience.

NJG1186PJL: A compact front-end module for L5/L2C GNSS bands, integrating a pre-SAW filter and LNA for high out-of-band rejection and low noise performance. Its hermetically sealed metal package ensures stable operation across harsh environments, making it ideal for outdoor GNSS tracking and timing systems.

Nisshinbo will also be organizing MicroApps sessions TUMA17 and TUMA20, which will offer firsthand insight into Nisshinbo’s breakthrough technologies in GaAs and LNA design. Attendees are encouraged to visit Nisshinbo Micro Devices at Booth #1927 of IMS 2025 to engage with their technical team, experience product demos, and discover how their innovations continue to shape the future of RF and microwave engineering.
