Insight SiP has introduced the ISP2654 Bluetooth Low Energy 6.0 module, an LGA module with an integrated antenna and support for multiple wireless protocols, including Bluetooth Mesh, Thread, Matter, LE audio, Auracast, Bluetooth Direction Finding, Channel Sounding, ANT+, and a proprietary 4 Mbps mode.
The module is based on the Nordic Semiconductor nRF54H20 chip built on a 22 nm process node. It integrates two Arm Cortex-M33 processors, with the application processor operating at 320 MHz and the radio processor at 256 MHz, along with two RISC-V co-processors running at 320 MHz and 16 MHz. This also includes 2 MB of non-volatile memory and 1 MB of RAM.
The ISP2654 provides 64 GPIOs and supports a range of peripherals, including CAN bus, high-speed USB, and QDEC. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, with a transmit power of +10 dBm and receiver sensitivity of -100 dBm. The module supports a supply voltage range from 1.7 V to 5.5 V. This LGA module measures 8.0 × 10.0 × 1.0 mm.
Security features include PSA Certified Level 3 compliance, secure boot and storage, anti-tamper protection, physically unclonable function (PUF), and cryptographic accelerators. The module is designed for low-power operation across transmit, receive, and standby modes.
According to the provided description, the module can replace multiple processors in a design, reducing the bill of materials and overall size of complex IoT nodes.
Target applications include smart home and Matter devices, industrial IoT, sensor fusion systems, wellness and medical devices, advanced wearables, remote and gaming controllers, virtual and augmented reality systems, e-mobility, and LE audio devices.
