Amphenol RF introduces 2.92 mm connectors engineered for high-frequency applications that require reliable signal integrity and repeatable mechanical performance. These vertical PBC jacks were available in stripline and microstrip configurations and are designed to reduce solder joint variability. Solderless 2.92 mm connectors are designed to provide PCB attachment for microwave and millimeter-wave systems, prototyping environments, and advanced RF validation applications.
The solderless design uses a threaded interface for connector-to-PCB contact, eliminating inconsistencies caused by solder joints, reflow processes, or manual assembly techniques. The connectors support broadband performance up to 40 GHz; these connectors are designed to maintain impedance control across different PCB stack-ups and enable easy installation, removal, and reuse during iterative development processes. They were manufactured from passivated stainless steel with gold-plated beryllium-copper contacts and ULTEM insulators, and are specified for durability and electrical performance in demanding test and measurement environments.
These solderless 2.92 mm PCB connectors join Amphenol RF’s portfolio of high-frequency interconnect solutions used in advanced communication systems, aerospace and defense applications, laboratory development setups, and next-generation mmWave technologies.
