The StarLab PRO + from Microwave Vision Group is an Over-The-Air (OTA) and Passive Multi-Probe Antenna Measurement System that operates from 650 MHz to 40 GHz. It is designed to address both current and future testing needs by offering flexible system configurations, scalable architecture, and modular software options. This OTA system offers testing for technologies such as mobile, IoT, advanced LTE, 5G NR, and defense-grade R&D. It supports near-field spherical and cylindrical measurements of devices under test (DUTs) with various parameters – gain, directivity, beamwidth, sidelobe levels, 3D radiation pattern, and antenna efficiency. This equipment includes an arch with up to 29 probe arrays, a control unit, Tx/Rx amplification units, UPS, rack, and VNA. It has a measurement time of up to 45 minutes and a dynamic range of 60-70 dB.
The StarLab PRO + has rubberised absorbers that enhance RF measurement accuracy during testing. This test system is equipped with a comprehensive software package. It can switch to a cylindrical near-field mode using a linear positioner, making it ideal for linear arrays such as BTS or radar antennas. This antenna measurement setup enables beam tilt and sidelobe measurement up to 70 degrees from boresight. It supports API integration, enabling custom Python scripting and automation for advanced test scenarios. This multi-probe system measures 1.9 x 1.1 x 2.0 m and supports on-the-fly measurement of DUTs.
