The MMB-KAD012 from Wavestream is a Ka Wideband GaN Block Up-converter (BUC) that up-converts an input frequency from 950 to 2 GHz to an output frequency from 29 to 31 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of 12 W (linear power of over 7 W) with a small signal gain of 57 dB. This BUC has the ability to cover multiple frequency bands with a switchable upconverter that allows coverage of up to two (2) 1000 MHz bands.
The MMB-KAD012 is available in a compact feed mount-ready package that measures 9 x 3.6 x 2.4 inches with N-type (F) input connector and WR-28 waveguide at the output interface. This Ka Wideband BUC has forward power monitoring, 30 dB of step attenuation control and a serial RS-422/485, RS-232, or optional Ethernet control interface.
