The LE271-GL from Fibocom is an LTE Cat1.bis Module that operates in the 4G LTE-FDD and LTE-TDD frequency bands, covering all global frequencies of major operators. It is designed to provide excellent power efficiency and broadband coverage in a compact form factor, making it suitable for battery-powered applications such as asset tracking, IP cameras, and consumer electronics. This LTE Cat1.bis module supports LBS and Wi-Fi scan positioning technologies for IoT devices, thereby simplifying inventory management. It delivers a data rate of 10.3 Mbps (DL) & 5.1 Mbps (UL) on LTE-FDD bands and 9.1 Mbps (DL) & 3.1 Mbps (UL) on LTE-TDD bands.
The LE271-GL wireless module also supports eSIM and single/dual-SIM configurations with jamming detection for enhanced connectivity. It uses optimized AT command response and USB enumeration to improve device startup and connectivity, and adopts OpenCPU architecture for flexible secondary development. This RoHS-compliant LTE Cat1.bis module can be controlled remotely via multiple interfaces, including USB, UART, and I2C, and uses several protocols for network management. It requires a DC supply from 3.4 to 3.5 V and is available in a compact LGA package measuring 17.7 x 15.8 x 2.4 mm.
