The 8TR8223 from Berex is a Front-End RFIC that operates from 2.4 to 2.485 GHz. It is a multi-function front-end solution intended for 802.15.4 Zigbee, Thread, Matter, and proprietary ISM-band wireless protocols in the 2.4 GHz band. This front-end IC consists of a power amplifier (PA), a low noise amplifier (LNA), and an SPDT Tx/Rx switch (for antenna diversity). It also includes filter networks and I/O-matching circuitry. On the Tx side, this RFIC delivers a saturated output power of 22.3 dBm with a large signal gain of 24.4 dB, while on the Rx side, it provides a small signal gain of 18.9 dB and has a noise figure of 1.99 dB. The built-in switch has a switching speed of 800 ns (Rx to Tx) and 400 ns (Tx to Rx).
