The SKY58261-11 from Skyworks Solutions is a Front-End Module (FEM) that operates in the B42/B43/B48, n48/n77/n78, and C-Band, covering the 4G and 5G-NR bands. This FEM consists of power amplifier (PA) blocks, a digital control block, filter, antenna, TX/RX switches, and a low noise amplifier (LNA). The two integrated LNA, filter, and switch paths support both primary and MIMO reception within the same module. It is based on an enhanced architecture (baseband-agnostic) that covers multiple bands and meets the spectral linearity requirements of CP-OFDM and DFT-S-OFDM modulation schemes with up to 100 MHz bandwidth and 273 resource block allocations.
The SKY58261-11 includes full average power tracking (APT) support with digital pre-distortion (DPD). This FEM also incorporates support for MIPI v2.1-compliant 52 MHz RFFE SM bus and MIPI v3.0-compliant RX function. It adjusts the DC supply (Vcc) voltage to maximize efficiency and has a very low leakage current in power-down mode, which maximizes the handset's stand-by time. This RoHS-compliant module is available in a surface-mount package that measures 5.0 x 3.0 x 0.7 mm. It is ideal for multi-band 4G/5G mobile devices handsets, data cards, and M2M applications.
