The MAX-F11/M11 Series from u-blox are Precision GNSS Modules that support single-band (L1) and dual-band (L1/L5) GNSS reception. They are designed to provide multi-constellation positioning using GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, NavIC, and SBAS. These GNSS modules are built on the u-blox 11 platform and support selective L1/L5 operation to provide an optimal balance between positioning accuracy and power consumption in challenging environments. They also integrate a SAW-LNA-SAW RF front-end to improve immunity to co-located cellular transmitters. These modules provide horizontal position accuracy of 1.5 m CEP with SBAS.
The MAX-F11/M11 Series of GNSS modules have an acquisition time of 2 s (hot start) and 28 s (cold start), with a tracking and navigation sensitivity of -167 dBm. They can further improve positioning performance using AssistNow Predictive Orbits and Live Orbits data downloads. These chips support firmware upgrades via a UART interface, and also integrate data logging, geofencing, indoor detection, time pulse output, and RTC crystal support. They require a DC supply of 1.76 to 3.6 V and consume less than 34 mW of power using LEAP power-saving mode. These GNSS chips are available in packages measuring 9.7 × 10.1 × 2.5 mm.
