The PhaseBlue 1500 Series from Blueshift Materials are Flexible Laminates designed to deliver relatively high dielectric and thermal performance compared to traditional circuit materials such as PTFE. They are manufactured using a polyimide aerogel core (85% air, 15% polyimide), which is compatible with modern thin-core PCB fabrication processes (e.g., FR-4). This unique material offers high temperature tolerance over PTFE, ensuring long-term durability and reliability in harsh environments. These laminates have a dielectric constant of 1.3-1.5 and a dissipation factor of less than 0.001. They have a thermal conductivity of 0.038.
The PhaseBlue 1500 Series materials combine high flexibility with very low density, enabling tighter bend radii, thinner form factors, and the creation of creative 3D geometries in dense packaging applications. The dielectric material has a thickness of 0.0065 to 0.030 inches. These laminates are ideal for phased arrays, patch and conformal antennas, radomes, aerospace platforms, mmWave, 5G, and high-speed digital systems. They are compliant with the IPC-4202/15 standards.
