The WiBAS G5 GigaConnect+ from Intracom is a Point-to-Multipoint (PtMP) Radio Terminal that operates from 24.25 to 40 GHz. It is designed to deliver high capacity over extended coverage while maintaining high power efficiency for locations requiring cost-effective, rapidly implementable FWA networks. This radio utilizes an improved technology that supports higher channel bandwidth utilization and denser PtMP networks. It allows the integration of 30 cm or 50 cm parabolic antennas to cater to different connectivity requirements. This radio delivers a data rate of up to 2414 Mbps over 75/100/150/200 MHz channel bandwidths using MU-MIMO and 1024-QAM modulation standard.
The WiBAS-G5-GigaConnect+ supports advanced Ethernet QoS (quality of service) features, including packet classification, traffic policing, bandwidth profiling, and L2 PCP remarking for efficient traffic management. It also incorporates MAC security, configurable MAC learning, storm control, and split-horizon functionality to enhance network reliability and security. The radio is equipped with a Gigabit Ethernet RJ-45 interface for traffic, in-band management, and PoE input, supporting data rates up to 2.5 Gbit/s. It requires a -48 VDC supply delivered via PoE and consumes 35 W of power. This radio is housed in a compact enclosure measuring 230 x 180 x 30 mm.
