The AMP20176 from Exodus Advanced Communications is a Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 6 to 18 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of more than 1000 W (CW/Pulse) with a gain of over 60 dB. This SSPA is based on Class A/AB linear design delivering high efficiency with unprecedented reliability and ruggedness. It has spurious levels of less than -60 dBc and harmonic levels of -20 dBc.
The AMP20176 includes built-in protection circuitries with an extensive monitoring capability of parameters such as VSWR, power, gain, voltage, and current. This power amplifier also supports a closed-circuit, air-liquid cooling mechanism for temperature stability during operation. It can either be controlled using a local LCD panel or remote flexible interfaces – Ethernet (RJ-45), USB, RS422, and RS485. This SSPA requires an AC supply of 200 to 240 V and consumes 20 kW of power. It is available in a 40U rack-mount enclosure that measures 1760.20 x 600.00 and has an N-type (female) connector at the input and a WRD650 waveguide interface at the output port. This amplifier is ideal for EMI/RFI, labs, and other communication applications.
