The AMP40051 from Exodus Advanced Communications is a Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 10.0 to 13.0 GHz. It delivers a saturated output power of more than 400 W with a power gain of more than 56 dB. This amplifier is based on a class A/AB linear design and offers high efficiency with unprecedented reliability and ruggedness. It has spurious levels of up to -60 dBc and harmonics of less than -20 dBc. This SSPA has a 2-tone intermodulation (IMD) of -30 dBc and an input/output return loss of less than -10 dB.
The AMP40051 includes built-in protection circuits with extensive monitoring of parameters such as voltage, current, VSWR, etc. These parameters can be monitored and controlled using integrated Ethernet RJ-45 TCP/IP, RS-422/485, and USB interfaces via a local LCD panel. This power amplifier requires an AC supply of 120/208 V and consumes less than 4000 W of power. It is available in an 8U rack-mount enclosure that measures 483 x 355 x 812 mm and has an N female connector at the input & a WRD75 waveguide interface at the output port. This SSPA is ideal for use in EMI/RFI, labs, CW/Pulse, and all communications applications.
