The A11 from General Dynamics Mission Systems is a Single Stage Gain Block Amplifier that operates from 1.1 to 1.7 GHz and covers the GPS, Galileo, and GLONASS frequencies. It provides up to 33 dB of gain with a noise figure of 1.8 dB and has reverse isolation of more than 30 dB. This gain block has been designed with the thin link margins of satellite navigation systems in mind. It consumes less than 16 mA of current and can be powered externally with an AC input voltage option, a DC input voltage or by the GPS receiver’s in-line antenna voltage. The gain block can provide a DC voltage output to power an active GPS antenna regardless of the input power configuration.

The A11 meets the MIL-STD-810 standard and is available in a module with N-Type, SMA and TNC (Male/Female) connectors. It can also be configured to meet custom requirements.
