The CMD310 from Custom MMIC is a GaAs Sub-Harmonic Mixer Die with a RF/LO frequency from 20 to 32 GHz and IF Frequency from DC to 7 GHz. The mixer has an integrated LO amplifier and can be used as an upconverter or downconverter. The device has low conversion loss of 9.5 dB and excellent LO to RF Isolation of 36 dB eliminating the need for additional filtering. Sub-harmonic mixers are driven by a local oscillator (LO) signal that is an integer fraction, or sub-harmonic, of the desired LO frequency. This mixer operates with an x2 LO, meaning the user needs to provide the mixer with an LO at half the desired mixing frequency. The CMD310 requires only -4 dBm LO drive and operates on a single positive supply voltage.
