The AM5008 from Mercury Systems is a Double Balanced Mixer with RF/LO frequencies from 2 to 24 GHz and an IF frequency range from DC to 3 GHz. It provides low conversion loss and high linearity for up- and down-conversion applications in low-SWaP systems. The LO input of this mixer requires drive levels of 16 to 20 dBm and can be driven by Mercury Systems’ AM1156 driver amplifier. This double-balanced mixer has a conversion loss of less than 12 dB and an input P1dB of 10 dBm. It provides 38 dB isolation (LO-to-RF) and 25 dB isolation (LO-to-IF and RF-to-IF). This mixer is housed in a surface-mount QFN package measuring 3 × 3 mm and operates over a temperature range from -40°C to +85°C.
