The CMD182C4 is a compact I/Q mixer in a leadless surface mount package that can be used as either an image reject mixer or a single sideband upconverter. It utilizes two double balanced mixer cells and a 90 degree hybrid. An external IF hybrid is needed to complete the image rejection. The CMD182C4 has a conversion loss of 5.5 dB and 30 dB of image rejection/sideband suppression, while supporting an IF bandwidth of DC to 3.5 GHz. In also features a very low LO to RF leakage of -35 dBm and an input P1dB of +9 dBm.
This mixer is a smaller alternative to higher cost hybrid image reject mixers and single sideband upconverter assemblies. It is ideal for point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and digital radios as well as VSAT terminals. This mixer is housed in a leadless, RoHs-compliant (Pb-free) 4x4 mm SMT package
