The GF5-67T cables from GIGAFLIGHT Connectivity are lightweight RF cables that support frequencies up to 18 GHz (depending on the connector). They are designed as an alternative to PIC’s S33141 cable, offering reduced assembly time and weight, and are tested in accordance with MIL-DTL-17 standards. These low-loss cables provide a shielding effectiveness of 90 dB and exhibit an attenuation of 15.5 dB/100 ft. They feature a time delay of 1.26 ns/ft, a capacitance of 25 pF/ft, and a velocity of propagation of 80.5%.
The GF5-67T cables have an outer diameter of 6.29 mm and a minimum bend radius of 31.75 mm. They have a 14 AWG stranded silver-plated centre conductor, dual silver-plated copper shielding with a composite foil interlayer, a low-density PTFE dielectric, and a laser-markable fluoropolymer jacket. These 50-ohm cables are available with TNC, BNC, N-Type, and SMA connector options, based on frequency. They are suitable for high-performance civil and military aerospace applications such as cabin management, IFE systems, and antenna installations.
