The TFlex Series from Times Microwave Systems are Flexible Coaxial Cables that operate up to 60 GHz. They are designed as lighter and more flexible alternative to semi-rigid coaxial cables. These cables consist of a robust jacket material that provides excellent protection in corrosive environments and the cables’ flexible nature eliminates the need for hand or precision machine bending. They utilize silver plating technique for the outer conductor, which minimizes the potential for intermodulation distortion. These flexible cables provide a shielding effectiveness of more than 100 dB and have an attenuation of up to 106 dB. They have a capacitance of 29.3 pF/ft and a velocity of propagation of 69.5%.
The TFlex Series have an outer diameter of 0.270 inches and a minimum bending radius of 1.125 inches (static). These coaxial cables consist of a silver-plated copper center conductor, silver-plated copper flat ribbon tape inner shield, silver-plated copper braid outer shield, a PTFE dielectric, and a Blue Teflon FEP jacket. They have standard solder-on connectors. These cables are ideal for military, low loss microwave, wireless base station interconnects, and commercial applications. These cables comply with the MIL-C-17 standard.
