The BGM210L from Silicon Labs is Wireless Gecko (EFR32MG21 SoC) Lighting Module that supports Bluetooth 5.1 and Bluetooth Mesh connectivity. The module delivers excellent RF range and performance, supports OTA firmware updates, and enhanced security. It is CA Title 20 energy consumption compliant and has a temperature rating suited for enclosed operation in lightbulb housings.

The BGM210L has an Rx sensitivity of -97.0 dBm at 1 Mbps GFSK and has a maximum Tx power of 12.5 dBm. It includes a PCB Trace antenna, a matching network (optimized for transmitting power efficiency), supply decoupling and filtering components, a 38.4 MHz reference crystal, and an RF shield. The module requires a single supply voltage of 3 V and consumes 9.3 mA (Rx current) and 70 mA (Tx current). It has 12 GPIO pins and supports UART, SPI, SmartCard (ISO 7816), IrDA, and I2S interfaces.

The module is available in a package that measures 15.5 x 22.5 mm and is suitable for smart LED lightbulbs and connected lighting applications.
