The JODY-W4 Series from u-blox are Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 Modules that operate in the 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands. They deliver a data rate of up to 1.2 Gbps (Wi-Fi 6E) and support 2x2 MU-MIMO with 20/40/80 MHz Wi-Fi channels. These modules support dual-mode Bluetooth classic and Bluetooth Low Energy 5.3 with Bluetooth LE Audio and also support Bluetooth LE Angle-of-Arrival and Angle-of-Departure for direction-finding applications. They are based on the AEC-Q100-qualified Infineon CYW89570 chip and are designed to meet the high reliability and quality requirements of first-mount automotive components. The modules are designed for a wide range of in-car applications, such as a telematics box with connectivity for inside and outside the cabin, in-car infotainment systems, and EV charging.

The JODY-W4 Series modules have undergone extended automotive qualification according to AEC-Q104 and are manufactured in line with ISO/TS 16949. They support specific automotive requirements such as Zero-Wait DFS and up to 12 stations in AP mode. These modules require a DC supply of 3.3 V and can be controlled via UART, PCIe, and PCM/I2S (audio) interfaces. They are available in LGA packages that measure 13.8 x 19.8 x 2.5 mm and have an operating temperature range from −40 °C to +85/+105°C.
