Amplitech Introduces GaAs pHEMT-Based Low Noise Amplifier MMICs for 5G, Quantum Computing and SATCOM

Amplitech, a designer, developer, and manufacturer of state-of-the-art signal-processing components for satellite, 5G, and other communications networks and a worldwide distributor of packages and lids for integrated circuit assembly, has introduced two new GaAs pHEMT Low-Noise Amplifier MMICs - the AGLNA0204 and AGLNA0408.

The AGLNA0204 is a GaAs pHEMT Low Noise Amplifier MMIC with an operating frequency from 2.0 – 4.0 GHz. It provides a saturated output power of 12 dBm with a gain of 26.5 dB and has a low noise figure of 0.8 dB. This LNA is self-biased with an operating voltage of +5V and has a low current consumption of 25 mA. It is available in a package that measures 1.8 x 2.0 x 0.1 mm and is ideally suited for 5G cellular, SATCOM, and phased array antenna applications.

The AGLNA0408 is a GaAs pHEMT Low Noise Amplifier MMIC with an operating frequency from 4.0 – 8.0 GHz. It provides a saturated output power of 12 dBm with a gain of 26.5 dB and has a low noise figure of 0.9 dB. This LNA is self-biased with an operating voltage of +5V and has a low current consumption of 25 mA. It is available in a package that measures 1.75 x 1.25 x 0.10 mm and is ideally suited for phased array radars, 5G networks, telecom infrastructure, Quantum computing pre-amps, SATCOM and cryogenic receivers.

AmpliTech Group debuted its much-anticipated MMIC chip designs in IMS 2022 and received a favorable reception from attendees ranging from Fortune 500 companies to smaller players in the Aerospace, Satcom, High-Performance Computing, Telco, and 5G space. The Amplitech MIMIC portfolio consists of Amplifiers, Low Pass Filters and Band Pass Filters.

The MMIC chips bring AmpliTech’s industry-leading lowest noise figures, and power dissipation performance into the chip form factor. The low noise figures and low powers dissipating MMIC chips are expected to enable customers to achieve up to 40% cost savings in their systems by promoting higher link availability, increased data transmission bandwidth, and maintaining up to a 6x longer life than the next best-performing chips.
