The CQM212 from Cavli Wireless is a 5G NR Sub-6 GHz Module with support for LTE Cat-20 fallback. It is suitable for high-bandwidth applications that require fast connectivity and high-precision location information. This 5G NR module consists of a Quad-core Cortex A55 processor and memories (1 GB RAM and 1/4 GB ROM). It also includes Qualcomm’s Location Suite Gen 9VT that provides GNSS connectivity in the L1 and L5 bands. This module complies with the 3GPP Release 18 standard. It supports 3CC carrier aggregation and delivers a data rate of 5.36 Gbps (downlink) & 1.25 Gbps (uplink) in the 5G SA mode, and 5.05 Gbps (downlink) & 750 Mbps (uplink) in the 5G NSA mode.
The CQM212 includes other network features such as eSIM for enhanced connectivity. This module features Cavli’s Hubble platform, which enables users to configure and manage modem hardware and network parameters. It also features an Open SDK supporting multiple programming languages for flexibility and operates on Linux or OpenWRT platforms that allow for application-level coding, without requiring an external host MCU. This wireless module can be controlled using USB, PCIe (Gen 4), I2C, ADC, SPI, and UART interfaces. It requires a DC supply of 3.3 to 4.4 V. This 5G NR module is available in a land grid array (LGA) package that measures 45 x 52 mm. It is ideal for IoT, V2X systems, industry 4.0, smart surveillance, and M2M applications.
