The LE310 Series from Telit Cinterion are LTE Cat1.bis Modules that operate in the 4G bands. They are industrial-grade, cost-optimized solutions that are suitable for use in battery-operated IoT devices. These modules comply with the 3GPP Release 14 standard and offer an ideal solution for IoT deployments in regions where 3GPP cellular low power wide area (LPWA) technologies are not yet activated. They require only a single antenna, which enables significant cost-savings and overall size reduction compared to LTE Cat 1 devices. These modules also provide pin-to-pin compatibility with other Telit’s cellular LPWA modules to create flexible design options. They use LTE FDD technology for communication and deliver a data rate of 5 Mbps (uplink) and 10 Mbps (downlink).
The LE310 Series have built-in UDP, TCP, PPP, HTTP, HTTPS NTP, and FTP along with IPv4/IPv6 stack to configure the network. These wireless modules can be controlled through USB 2.0, UART, SPI, and I2C interfaces using 3GPP-compliant AT commands and Telit’s custom AT commands. They deliver an output power of 23 dBm (Class 3). These RoHS-compliant modules require a DC supply of 3.4-4.2 V. They are available in compact land grid array (LGA) packages that measure 15.0 x 18.0 x 2.3 mm. These cellular modules are ideal for asset tracking, mobile personal emergency response systems, and portable medical applications.
