The SKY65362-11 from Skyworks is an RF Front End Module (FEM) that operates from 900 to 930 MHz. This FEM consists of a Tx/Rx switch, power amplifier (Tx), and a low noise amplifier with a programmable bypass in the Rx path. In the Tx path, the power amplifier provides an output power of 30.5 dBm with a gain of 33 dB and has a PAE of 43 %. In the Rx path, the LNA delivers a gain of 16 dB and has a noise figure of 2.5 dB. The switch has an insertion loss of 3 dB. The FEM requires a DC supply of 3 to 5.25 V and consumes less than 1 μA of current in sleep mode. It can be used in battery-powered applications over a wide spectrum of the battery discharge curve. The FEM is available in a 36-pin Multi-Chip Module (MCM) that measures 6 x 6 mm and is ideal for ISM, industrial IoT, connected homes, and 4G LTE applications.
