The RIU256K0-40TG from RFHIC is a Solid-State Microwave Generator that operates from 2.4 to 2.5 GHz. It delivers a CW output power of up to 6 kW with an efficiency of 55% and has an optional Pulsed operating mode. The generator is built using RFHIC’s cutting-edge gallium-nitride (GaN) on SiC HEMTs providing excellent thermal stability and power. It has a modular architecture where the SSPA head is separated from the power supply unit by a cable assembly.
The generator has Ethernet and USB interfaces with local or remote controllability. It allows precise control of power, frequency, and signal. This highly reliable, fault-tolerant generator features over-temperature shutdown, over-VSWR shutdown, DC fail shutdown and device fail alarm.
The RIU256K0-40TG has a separate power supply unit that measures 482.6 x 443.7 x 133.3 mm and an SSPA head that measures 590 x 480 x 221 mm. The PSU requires an AC supply of 380 V, and the SSPA head operates on a DC supply of 50 V. It is available in a water-cooled module with a WR340 waveguide output interface. The generator is suitable for high power industrial applications, microwave CVD reactors, plasma generators, biomaterial processing, MW heating and drying, and semiconductor equipment.
