The Model 1000S1G6C from AR RF/Microwave Instrumentation is a Solid-State Power Amplifier that operates from 1 to 6 GHz. It delivers a CW output power of up to 1000 W with a small signal gain of 66 dB. This SSPA has spurious levels of -73 dBc and harmonic distortion of -30 dBc. The low spurious levels and high linearity make it ideal for use as a driver amplifier in testing wireless and communication components and subsystems. It is also suitable for 5G and EMC testing applications where continued operation into high VSWR loads including open and short circuits is required.

The Model 1000S1G6C offers protection from input overdrive beyond 0 dBm along with protection from various failure conditions including over-temperature and power supply faults. It has a front panel display that indicates the operational status and fault conditions. All amplifier control functions and status indications are available remotely using GPIB/IEEE-488, RS-232, fiber-optic serial, USB, or Ethernet. Local and remote operation is managed by a switch on the front panel.

This Class-A amplifier is available in a rack-mountable enclosure that measures 57.3 x 136.0 x 95.5 cm with N-type (female) input and 7-16 DIN (female) output connectors. It is ideal for use in EMC (military, aviation, automotive, commercial), radiated and conducted EMC testing, general-purpose, antenna, and component testing. This SSPA has an export classification of 3A001. It requires a 3-phase AC supply and consumes less than 8.5 kW of power.
