The NPA2040-MQ from Nxbeam is a GaN Power Amplifier that operates from 27.5 to 31 GHz. It delivers an output power of up to 8 W (39.6 dBm) with a power gain of up to 16.8 dB and a power-added efficiency of 28%. This power amplifier has a small signal gain of up to 23.0 dB and a return loss of up to 14 dB (output) & up to 25 dB (input). It is fabricated using a 0.2 μm GaN HEMT on SiC process and features RF input and output ports matched to 50 ohms. This GaN amplifier requires a DC supply of 20-27 V and consumes less than 550 mA of current. It is available in a QFN package that measures 15.10 x 9.90 x 5.25 mm. This amplifier is ideal for Ka-band satellite communications, 5G infrastructure, and point-to-point/multipoint digital radio applications.
