QPB1024

The QPB1024 from Qorvo is a GaN Solid-State Power Amplifier (SSPA) that operates from 8 to 11 GHz, covering the X-band. It delivers a saturated CW output power of 58.3 dBm (500 W) with a power gain of 20.3 dB and a power-added efficiency of 33.8%. This power amplifier has a third-order intermodulation distortion (IMD3) of less than -28 dBc and an input/output return loss of more than 10 dB. It utilizes Qorvo’s patented Spatium combining technology to deliver high-performance SSPAs in a rugged, compact form factor, thereby lowering the total cost of ownership.

The QPB1024 has liquid cooling capability, providing excellent thermal management and reliable operation. It is available in a module that measures 238.8 x 139.7 x 127.0 mm and has a SMA female connector at the input and a WR90 Waveguide interface with a UG39/U Flange for the output port. This SSPA is ideal as a replacement for TWTAs and as a building block for high-power microwave transmitters in military and commercial applications.
