At IMS Boston, Menlo Micro will showcase how its Ideal Switch® technology is enabling new levels of performance across RF, high-speed digital, and power applications. Supporting platforms ranging from PCIe Gen 6 to emerging PCIe Gen 7 architectures, the company’s switch technology is designed to address the limitations of conventional electromechanical and solid-state switches by delivering improvements in speed, linearity, power efficiency, and reliability. These capabilities are enabling more compact, higher-performance system designs across applications including RF test and measurement, AI GPU and HPC validation, quantum instrumentation, and aerospace & defense platforms where throughput, signal integrity, SWaP optimization, and operational efficiency are critical.
Key applications include:
- Test, measurement, and RF front-end systems (MM5800): are stated to increase measurement throughput and improve repeatability in compact system architectures with broadband performance from DC to 70 GHz
- High-speed data validation (MM5627, up to 80 Gbps+): enabling higher data throughput and signal integrity in dense interconnect environments
- Quantum and cryogenic systems (MM4250) are reported to reduce cycle time through faster measurement reconfiguration and improved test efficiency
- A&D platforms (MM5130-03NLX): enabling greater system capability in SWaP-constrained designs while improving operational robustness.
These requirements span applications including RF test and measurement, AI GPU and HPC validation, quantum instrumentation, and UAV platforms, where switching performance translates directly into increased system efficiency, improved linearity, more consistent performance, and increased capability within constrained size and power requirements.
