The SKY5A2110 from Skyworks is an Automotive GNSS Front-End Module that covers GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, and GLONASS L1 & L5 bands. It has a gain of 18 dB and a noise figure of 1.5 dB. This module has dedicated GNSS L1 & L5 receive paths with a single diplexer output, an integrated L1 low-noise amplifier (LNA) & post-filter, along with an L5 LNA and post-filter designed for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver applications. The L1 path features an integrated B13 notch filter, providing exceptional suppression of -105 dBm for cellular low-band second harmonic signals impacting GPS L1 reception. The post-filtering on the L5 path also provides an out-of-band rejection of less than -70 dB for interference below 1 GHz.
The SKY5A2110 requires a DC supply of 1.8 V and consumes 9 mA of current. It is available in a AEC-Q104 Grade 2 surface mount Multi-Chip Module (MCM) that measures 2.70 x 2.20 x 0.75 mm and is ideal for automotive active antennas, telematics control units (TCU), automotive OBD-II modules, and personal navigation device applications.
