The PSI-2800-20UT from Photonic Systems is an RF Photonic Transmitter that operates from 100 MHz to 20 GHz. It enables wideband electrical to optical conversion for RF input signals at frequencies of over 20 GHz. This photonic transmitter can be combined with a PSI-2800-20UR receiver module to provide a complete RF-over-fiber link solution that replaces coaxial cables or waveguides in various applications such as military and RF/microwave. The RF chain provides a gain of 4 dB with a gain flatness of ±5 dB and a noise figure of less than 20 dB while the optical chain has a wavelength of 1550 nm and delivers an output power of 6 mW. 

The PSI-2800-20UT requires a DC supply of ±12 V and consumes less than 1.5 A of current. This transmitter is available in an enclosure that measures 9.250 x 4.000 x 1.500 inches and has an SMA (female) connector for the RF port and FC/APC connectors for the optical ports. It is ideal for radio over fiber, phased array radar, delay lines, radio astronomy, remote antenna sites, EW/ECM, and SATCOM applications.
