HARC-Tactical

The HARC-Tactical from Syntonics is an RF-over-Fiber (RFoF) Transceiver that operates from 225 to 450 MHz. It is a low SWaP-C solution optimized for tethered aerial platforms where size and weight are critical. This RFoF transceiver connects all communications from the platform to ground and transports the payload’s data and other command & control signals over a single-mode fiber link. The optical fiber link is physically secure, immune to interference, and offers a high bandwidth, resulting in jam-proof UHF & Ethernet connectivity. In the RF chain, this transceiver delivers an output power of 5 W while optional CWDM wavelengths support the optical chain. It requires a DC supply of 18-36 V and consumes less than 38 W of power. 

The HARC-Tactical is available as a module that measures 10.0 x 7.0 x 1.5 inches and has a TNC connector for the RF port and SC-APC connectors for the optical port. This RFoF transceiver is ideal for systems requiring secure communications-to-the-horizon over UHF bands.
