The WQ9201 from WUQI Micro is a Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.4 System-on-Chip (SoC) that operates in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. This SoC complies with IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocol stack for Wi-Fi. It incorporates WUQI’s self-developed RISC-V CPU, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth radio, a CMOS power amplifier (PA)/low noise amplifier (LNA), dual-frequency RF circuits, a power management unit, security function, and peripherals. This chip supports OFDMA with 2x2 UL/DL MU-MIMO and OFDMA + MU-MIMO, greatly increasing the number of terminals allowed for simultaneous access to ensure reduced communication delay and improved access experience. It has a channel bandwidth of 80 MHz and delivers a data rate of 1.2 Gbps (with 1024-QAM modulation).
The WQ9201 operates in multiple modes of Wi-Fi connectivity – STA + AP, STA + P2P GO, and STA + P2P GC. This wireless SoC also includes other features for the Bluetooth, which are the BT/Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and BLE audio. It consumes very low power. This combo chip is ideal for smart phones, tablets, PCs, TVs, and set-top box applications.
