The FCE870Q from Quectel is a Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Combo Module that operates in the 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands. It is based on enhanced multi-link single-radio (eMLSR) technology and delivers high throughput, low latency, and improved network reliability for OTT streaming, HD video, and AR/VR applications. This combo module supports dual-mode Bluetooth with Bluetooth Classic and BLE, including BLE long-range PHY, and supports high-accuracy distance measurement for location tracking. It supports 2×2 MIMO and MU-MIMO and multiple modulation schemes including OFDMA, BPSK, QPSK, and QAM. This tri-band module supports a channel bandwidth of up to 320 MHz and delivers data rates of up to 5.8 Gbps.
The FCE870Q supports WPA2 and WPA3 Enterprise security protocols for secure connectivity. It can be controlled via a PCIe 3.0 interface for Wi-Fi and PCM/UART interfaces for Bluetooth. This module requires DC supply voltages of 1.71-1.89 V and 3.0-3.6 V. It is available in a compact SMT package measuring 15.00 × 13.00 × 1.80 mm and includes antenna interface pins for external antenna connections.
